And yet,&nbsp;billions of people now follow his teaching and find in him the guiding light for their lives. <\/em><br><em>I AM ONE OF THEM&#8230;&nbsp;<\/em><br>(Queen Elizabeth II, 2016)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br>Platinum Jubilee Outreach<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On Sunday afternoon, June 5th, the street on which our church is located plans&nbsp;a street party to celebrate 70 years of Queen Elizabeth&#8217;s reign. We have been asked to speak a few words and sing a few songs for the event on behalf of the church. We are also offering special commemorative photo books that share the gospel through the Queen&#8217;s life story and Christian faith. In addition, special Platinum Jubilee Gospels of John are available, explaining the way of salvation and giving the opportunity to register one&#8217;s&nbsp;decision to receive Christ through social media. There are many such events planned throughout the UK with many churches and ministries seeking to make the most of a once-in-a-lifetime event.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home Assignment<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From July 28th until September 11th we plan to be in Canada for the purpose&nbsp;of reporting to churches and to visit with family.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We appreciate your prayers and support,<br><br>George and Karen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jesus Christ lived obscurely for most most of his life, and never travelled far.
