Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.\u201d \u00a0&#8211;\u00a0<\/em>Psalm 127:1<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Psalm 127 is said\u00a0to be written by Solomon.\u00a0This is the same\u00a0King\u00a0Solomon who\u00a0ordered the construction of the\u00a0magnificent House of worship in Jerusalem, which history calls &#8220;Solomon&#8217;s Temple&#8221;. Solomon understood that no matter how much wealth or wisdom\u00a0a man may have,\u00a0&#8220;unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.&#8221; These days, I also find myself\u00a0thinking about building. We&#8217;ve been told we\u00a0will need a new church.\u00a0Land is available&#8211;for now. Money is scarce&#8211;yet\u00a0funders are out there. Our congregation has chosen to trust God, and so with\u00a0the money it has, we have hired an architect as well as business \/ fundraising consultants. We believe that\u00a0God wants to build a house as\u00a0a blessing to His people, to the\u00a0community, and to His glorious name.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Praise<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Two people attending church for the last few months&nbsp;have requested baptism.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Karen has had good gospel&nbsp;chats&nbsp;with a few of her ladies in recent weeks.<\/li><li>The Foodbank crisis we mentioned is coming to a gradual resolution.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prayer<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Pray for the two baptismal candidates as they grown in the Lord.<\/li><li>Several serious personal situations in our church fellowship require prayer. Satan is trying to bring discouragement and discord.<\/li><li>Pray for the architect and consultants mentioned above.
